The U-Control insole system

SpringBoost All Springboost fitness trainers come supplied with 3 insoles which enable you to increase or decrease the level or uphill gradient or treadmill effect within the shoe. This means that you can easily adjust how hard you are working in these trainers (whilst walking at your own pace). In addition, the steeper the uphill gradient the more your body st raightens up and improves its natural posture. The insoles included in your box of Springboost B-Fit trainers can be used to vary the level of workout and thus create your own Personal Fitness Program, whether you use B-Fit as gym shoes, general cross training shoes or simply as all-purpose sports trainers.

SpringBoost The insole giving the flattest shoe profile is Dorsi-0 in the B-FIT shoe. By creating a flat surface on which to walk, the body is encou raged to walk upright, in contrast to most trainers which are inclined forward and make the body stoop in an unnatural position, which puts strain on the back and torso. The Dorsi-0 insole makes the B-FIT shoe very comfy to wear while still giving an element of stretching plus improved posture. The other two insoles in any box of B-FIT sports trainers are Dorsi-2 and Dorsi-4, which incline the body at 2 and 4 degrees on a treadmill. The higher the Dorsi number the more the body works hard to improve muscle tone and slimming effect. With Dorsi-4 there is a very noticeable reduction in cellulite and weak muscle tone after only a few weeks of wear.

SpringBoost With the B-TRAIN cross training shoes, th e 1st insole in your box is the Dorsi-1, which creates a slight incline of 1 degree towards the front or a slight treadmill effect, which encourages light stretching of the hamstrings and hence improved muscle tone. The upward incline which you can readily feel results in increased blood flow to the legs and improved circulation.

The legs ache mildly after training with Dorsi-1 when cross training indoors or outdoors. Further insoles in B-TRAIN are Dorsi-3 and Dorsi-5. With both of these insoles, the stretching effect on the hamstrings is very marked, resulting in a rapid increase in fitness and explosive power. The legs, bum and stomach benefi t quickly by becoming more toned than before and the body gets used to the harder regime under which it is working. In the case of Dorsi-5, the degree of workout is extreme, along the lines of other leading brands such as Chung Shi. With Dorsi-5 you have the ultimate cross training workout, for all sports where explosive power is desirable.

The Energy Plate

Springboost takes its brand name from the part of the shoe under the metatarsal bones in the foot where a specially-developed and patented Energy Plate is situated, a tough yet flexible piece of heavy-duty plastic which propels the wearer forward with every step, giving a boost to your speed and putting a spring in your step, hence the brand name for these sports shoes of Springboost !. The faster you walk or run in these trainers the more you will notice the springiness, which increases both speed and explosive power when cross training.

Shoe Construction

SpringBoost B-FIT is built around a fishbone structure of the upper around textile panels, this innovative design aimed at keeping your feet stable while gym training, such that lateral movement is restricted to avoid injury and to give a sound platform for pushing off on gym equipment such as treadmill, weights machines, stretching equipment and so on. The Energ y plate in B-FIT is slightly stiff to give good push-off while maintaining stability. This innovative design is unique to B-FIT, such that it is really the only purpose-built gym exercise shoe in the UK.

SpringBoost B-TRAIN has insoles that are more flexible to give lateral movement, plus the sole is slightly curved across the width of the shoe, also to a id lateral movement. The shoe has a restraining strap across the top. The Energy Plate is more springy than in B-FIT, so that when running or sprinting you really feel the added spring to every step. B-TRAIN comes in four styles for men plus one style for ladies. The colours are bright to give added visibility when cross training outdoors plus a more trendy and definite look. Regarding sizing, B-TRAIN exercise shoes for cross training come in UK sizes 3.5 to 8.5 for women and 7.5 to 12 for men.

What research has been done on Springboost

SpringBoost Research at the University of Lausanne was quickly verified by various other academic institutions, clearly demonstrating that maintaining a foot position in negative heel or Dorsiflexion resulted in increased muscle tone and fitness during tests on exercise routines configured as gym workouts or running sessions on treadmills. The optimal treadmill effect angle within Springboost trainers was found to be in the range 1-5 degrees, hence the construction of the shoes using this range. Above 5 degrees of Dorsiflexion the muscle useage kept on increasing but it was found that the body could not cope with such a high level of stretching, such that the natural limit for the shoe design was set at a maximum of 5 degrees. All academic studies agreed that Springboost rapidly increased fitness and muscle tone in a range of subjects ranging from professional athletes to members of the public who enjoyed exercise.
