Falke Ergonomic Sports System clothing range (underwear, base layer and apparel were developed to meet the tough demands of people running, (Nordic) walking, cross-country skiing or fitness training. The garments are mostly seamless and are made of light, stretchy, breathable fabrics. The seamless design prevents chaffing during exercise, keeping you comfortable in even the most sensitive body areas. The special fabrics used in this collection include polypropylene, polyamide and elastane. The blend of these fabrics is tuned in each garment to provide the correct balance of ergonomic fit and toughness (polypropylene), moisture control (polyamide) and stretchability (elastane).
The moisture control feature involves a process often known in the sportswear sector as ‘wicking’, whereby excess moisture is expelled towards the surface, thus preventing excessive sweating when active.
The ventilation within garments is state-of-the-art; laterally-inserted ventilation valves replicate the shape of shark gills. They ensure optimal climate control in movement and simultaneously protect against penetrating moisture.
At the same time, the blend of fabrics is selected for each garment to keep you warm or cool where needed and to provide optimum breath ability.
The Apparel (or outer layer) garments also maintain moisture control, whilst fitting snugly and helping to keep cool or warm (depending on the type chosen for the time of year). The rain/wind jackets are lined or taped to ensure optimum warmth and comfort. They incorporate a host of handy features such as pre-shaped sleeves, a chin cup, lined Velcro fasteners, an extended reverse (for protection of the sensitive kidney area), a drawstring hem, numerous pockets and pouches (to allow the secure storage of valuables). Reflective prints and tapes provide additional safety to the athlete whilst training.
